Noise mitigation
A noisy plant or equipment can significantly increase the risk of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and be a sign of potential operational problems.
When noise problems arise it difficult to determine where the troublesome noise originates and what practical solutions exist to reduce impacts.
When there are several noise emitters it is important to focus efforts to achieve maximum benefit. Our industrial experience and cost-benefit approach enables us to shape practical solutions which take into account impacts on your processes, maintenance and HSE responsibilities.
To quickly and accurately quantify noise emissions and transmission paths we use a range of measurement techniques, eg, sound-pressure level, sound intensity, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis and vibration analysis.
Computer modeling allows us to demonstrate the effectiveness of any recommended noise controls before implementation.
